Sindal and Denmark Map X 2.0 PROBLEM SOLVED

Hi John
Although I´m from Denmark... I have chosen to write in English , so as many as possible can gain from this topic.

I have bought all Danish Airfields X series + Sønderborg X + all freeware installed. ...

And first I will thank you for doing these wonderful sceneries ! !

Sønderborg X works fine with Denmark scenery ..after reading some reviews and visiting your forum.
Suggestion ! :
On page 4 (Installing) in Sønderborg X Manual.pdf.. make a note about how to make Sønderborg X work together with Denmark Scenery.

Now to my problem.
All Danish Airfields X works fine with Denmark Scenery and Denmark Map X 2.0.. Except Sindal.
Sindal works fine with Denmark Scenery
But NOT with Denmark Map X 2.0
Runway and apron textures seems to be the FSX default.
In distance from VC you can see the right textures and if you look at the topdown view it looks right from a high altitude but if you zoom down ..it looks wrong.

I would so much like Sindal to work with Denmark Map X 2.0 as I think Denmark Map X 2.0 is a MUST HAVE.. specially for all Danish FS fan´s

Do you think you can help with an solution for this problem ? ..other than skipping Denmark Map X 2.0 ?

Best regards
Bjarne Horsbøl :)

Re: Sindal and Denmark Map X 2.0

Hi Bjarne

Thank you for purchasing my sceneries. And thanks for your kind words! The problem with Sindal and Denmarks Map X is most likely caused by a conflict with "flatten" BGL's. Sometimes Denmark Map X overwrites my flatten files.

Could you please try to copy the file EKSN_ADEX_CVX.bgl from your Sindal Scenery folder (the normal path for this folder is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Vidan Design\Danish Airfields X\Sindal\Scenery)

to the Denmark Map X scenery folder. This folder is by default located here:
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Games \ Microsoft Flight Simulator X \ Denmark Map X 2.0 \ Scenery

Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Best regards John

I got this issue too (with Denmark Map X 2.1) after installing Sindal.

The fix works great, thanks! :)

Re: Sindal and Denmark Map X 2.0 PROBLEM SOLVED

Hi John!

I've purchased Sindal from Simmarket today.
I have the same problem and it looks that copying EKSN_ADEX_CVX.bgl to the Denmark Map X/scenery folder does not work for me. If I deactivate Denmark Map x, Sindal works fine.
No problems with other Vidan sceneries (I have Bornholm, Herning, Saeby, Randers, Sindal and all your freeware sceneries Installed, all above Denmark Map X 2.1)

Could you please help me solving that issue?
Thank You in advance

Hi Tamas

I'm sorry to hear that you are having compatibility issues with Denmark Map X. Could you please try to also copy the file EKSN_ADEX.bgl from the Danish Airfields X - Sindal Scenery folder to the Denmark Map X Scenery folder and see if that solves the problem. You could also try to place Sindal just below Denmark Map X in the FSX scenery library system.

Re: Sindal and Denmark Map X 2.0 PROBLEM SOLVED

Try this fix instead. Forget all other fixes. Frank Sørensen, the creator of Denmark Map X, was kind enough to make it for me when I told him about the issue and asked him nicely ...

Copy the BGL from the ZIP file linked in this post to your Denmark Map X\Scenery directory. It will overwrite the existing cvxAIRFIELDS.BGL there, so you should back up the original first, or at least make sure you still have the original Denmark Map X distro just in case you hit a snag.

This fix works in both FSX and P3D by the way. ;)

You're more than welcome John.

Actually I feel somewhat guilty for not having uploaded the package with Frank's fix to these forums sooner. :)
